    Introduction

    Language is a means by which we communicate and express ourselves. Language comprises of grammar, vocabulary, meaning, sounds, gestures etc. which is standardised enough to be used by people to convey and exchange information with one another and good Essential Communication Skills helps in achieving the desired outcome by using language effectively. Most important life skill is effective communication.

    This qualification is designed to be a life skills qualification. It is intended to give learners greater awareness of the structure, purpose and context of communication; enabling them to be more confidently and effectively interact and convey, retrieve and exchange information in a variety of situations.

    Overall Learning Outcome:

    After the successful completion of the course, the student will develop effective communication skills which will enable them to express, articulate and disseminate ideas and views clearly, confidently and concisely both verbally and non-verbally tailoring the content and style to suit the audience thereby promoting free-flowing communication.
